In Atlanta

Sept 27

We have been in Atlanta, Sandy Springs now for a week. It is so green all you can see is trees and more trees. Our apartment is small one small bedroom, bathroom and kitchen and dining front room combination. But it is great the people here are wonderful people that are all here to serve our father in heaven also. We still do not know when we will be starting in the archives but we are going to be working in the temple beginning on Tuesday for feve days a week from 12:00 to 6:00 each day with the temple being closed on Monday. We are looking forward to doing that and hope we can begin work on the records when it opens up.,

We have been getting a little bored this past week and are very excited to begin work in the temple. We have been on walks every day and dad has watched a lot of political stuff on the CNN and stock stuff I have learned to make hats so don't be surprised if all of the kids get hats for christmas. Today we are having a potluck dinner before the womens conference the men are joining us then they will watch the Goergia game - go Bulldogs! We may have to becomefans. On our way walking this morning there were many cars with the flags flying and balloons all over cheering them on.

Great pictures Daina the girls are growing. It was good to see them Sunday night. We look forward to all of you getting cameras up and running.
So as far as the cameras go we want to see each of y ou so we are asking you to PLEASE get cameras and we will set up a schedule once a week to talk to each family. The camera we have is a Dynex and it was about 40.00 it has a microphone included in the camera it is so easy to set up you download the camera software and then you go to SKYPES and add yourself to the list and us to contacts then call at the time given it works out great. PLEASE do this we want to see all of you.

Goodbye Summer!

First Day of Preschool.
Our annual family trip to the Puyallup Fair. Sarah got to practice milking a cow. Thank goodness it wasn't real because I don't think it would appreciate the amount of "effort" Sarah put into it.
Sarah riding the carousel.
The only ride Leah got to take was in her stroller.
Leah, the clown of the family.
Posing with clowns at the Puyallup Fair.

Hi Crowell's

Hi Crowell's!
It's so fun that we can all post to the family blog!! Just wanted to share some photos of what we've been up to in August and September!

Kevin's 37th Birthday
(Celebrating at our "Bennett" family reunion in Idaho)

Photos of our yard work!
(Recognize the rocks from Paul and Paulette's wall? Kevin's been working night and day for a month - the spinklers are in, the curbing is done and they just sprayed our hydro-seed so we should have grass in a couple of week!)

Katelyn, Ashlyn and Brock's first day of school!
(Katelyn's in 1st grade, Ashlyn's in Kindergarten and Brock is in Wee Weber pre-school! 'This is the school outfit that Ashlyn picked out when Grandma Paulette took her shopping - she loves it and calls it her "fashion" outfit!)

Beginning week 3

Well good evening family and friends. We are in Des Moines IA at this time and it is approximately 10:10pm. We have had a wonderful day visiting some of the church sites on our way and out of our way to Atlanta. Our first stops on Sunday and Monday was Mt rushmore and the surrounding area, the badlands, crazy horse and the scenery at Custer State park. What a beautiful journey. When I get settled in GA. I will send some pictures for you all to see. Today we went to Winter Quarters visitors center and the Council Bluff center. They really made us appreciate our pioneer heritage in our family. One of our relatives Erastus Bingham was with the Mormon Battalion. They even had a biography on him. We are very thankful for all of our blessings. Hearing about what the pioneers went through has reaffirmed my desire to be more faithful in keeping a journal. We would not know what they went through if we did not have their journals. Dad and I were saying how much we are blessed. What a beautiful country we live in. Tonight as we were driving through all of the corn fields we watched the moon come up a bright orange and as it moved high into the sky it became bright white. I am amazed at all our Heavenly has provided for us and we need to be thankful for all. We love you guys and we will forward pictures after we can land in GA and see where things are. Take care and all of you get cameras for your computers so that we can see each other once in a while. We have ours and when we settle we can all hook up and talk. Email all of you soon.

Don't forget Katelyn's birthday this Saturday. happy Birthday katelyn.. Love you lots

Fun Times in Seattle

We had a great time this last weekend with Becky & Rob staying with us. It was a blast watching the Mariners kill the Yankees from our lower bowl seats, unfortunately none of us brought a camera. We also got to spend Sunday afternoon with Bryan and Preston. It was fun catching up and I did get some great pictures of their stay. Do you recognize any of these mugs? (having fun with  my computer's built in camera).

One week of Training down

Hello everyone,

Well today is the 6th of Sept. We have made it through the first week of training. As some of you know there was not enough room at the MTC for us so we were a group of 12 couples that had to go to the Super 8 hotel. I guess we were the lucky ones as we enjoy a couch in our room and TV. So we have not been complaining.!!
Our first week was a very spiritual one and hard one. We were up every day at 6:00 and at the MTC at 7:00 for breakfast and class at 8:00. They had us do the entire book of Preach My Gospel in one week and the missionaries get 3. They say it is because of our experience (Little do they know we don't remember as much!!!) I don't think I have ever prayed more than I have been this week and I know the spirit is here and touching us to bear testimony. It has been AWESOME.
After eating one week I now know what our boys used to say about the food. It is good but it is gassey(sp)
Our schedule is eat, study, class, study, eat, study class and then we have had volunteers come in 3 times this week as guinea pigs so we could teach to them. That was a very scary experience the first couple of times but good. I think we passed!!!

How is everyone doing? Bryan, Preston, Robert & Becky are in Seattle this weekend to the BYU football game dad is trying to find a big screen to watch it on. I get to do laundry.

Well I will close for now we spent the morning at the temple it is like the Ogden one but very nice. Have a great day. Love you all
